New Sites and Dates for Plein Air on the Plein Air Site
As our show runs through the first week of March, we will skip our monthly meeting in March and continue again the first Wednesday in April, on April 7.
The next Board Meeting will be on Monday, April 5. If any member has any issues or questions, he or she wants to bring before the board, please do not hesitate to contact any board member. The board meetings are open to be attended by any member.
By the way - we were pretty generous with our sign-up and payment terms. We learned from our mistakes: If you sign up for a workshop you will no longer be able to secure your spot, if you have not paid up.
We plan to create PIAG T-Shirt and ask every member to create a reproducible piece of art. Please do NOT sign the piece, the judges are not supposed to link the art to a name. Maximum size is 8x10. The motif should make a connection to the Purple Isles Art Guild, the Keys the arts and our lifestyle. Be creative! You can work on it over the summer - the earlier you start the better.
Our treasurer, Sharon Braunberns, needs some support with the guild's accounting. If anybody out there in the wide, artsy Keys world has some accounting background and would like to update his/her skills, please give Sharon a call at 305-853-5938.
Plein Air Painting is getting one of the Guild's most attractive features. We are always working on securing new locations no (wo)man has ever - or rarely - set foot on.
